Summer came with a heat wave and i took off my shoes
on grass and concrete, scraping up my feet, til the bottoms of my soles were hard as rock
we found our hole but dug ourselves in too deep
and got stuck with the mud
so now we're all a jumble of thoughts
and we were talking lots as time was running out
just forcing out our mouths those laughing sounds
moving all that space, just pushing airwaves around
so i'm just talking lots of trash
as if i knew my shit
and you'll all listen to me
until it makes you sick
the bridge collapsed and we jumped the ledge
head over heels to kiss the pavement
